Calling all you witches and wizards! You’re in for a spell-binding evening!
It’s the legendary Muddy Boots Harry Potter themed sleepover, complete with all the magical treats you could think of. This is an evening that Harry, Ron and Hermione would be proud of.
We completely understand that planning a party can be overwhelming, and there are SO many things to think about. Your little one has made it pretty clear that they love Harry Potter, so you are under strict instructions to create a wizard-style party, wands and all. Muddy Boots is here to take the stress out of planning, but there are a few options to think about first and foremost when deciding what you want at your celebrations.
Magical tepee tents
To set the scene for the sleepover, the tepee tents are a must-have. Colourful and full of imagination, the teepees fit the theme and create a magical backdrop. The youngsters will love settling down for the night amongst this creative creation. The teepees can be decorated with twinkling lights, balloons and other accessories that fit the Hogwarts theme. Very charming.
Black lanterns
No Harry Potter themed sleepover is complete without the classic Hogwarts style black lanterns. Industrial, sleek and totally fitting with the spells and sorcery ideas, the lanterns can be placed accordingly or hung by the teepees. They can be used as a flickering way to light up any games that are played or to add atmosphere for a midnight feast.
Themed cushions
Who doesn’t want Harry Potter in cushion form?! Aside from being very on-brand and extremely cool, the cushions are comfy, sumptuous, and perfect for relaxing on. Kick back and chill out amongst the enchanted scatters whilst watching your favourite Harry Potter movie. The Prisoner of Azkaban goes quite nicely with this set up.
Personalisation
Alongside the standard themed sleepover features, you can also opt for plenty of additional extras. Personalisation is always a massive win and matching pyjamas with the guests’ names on go down a storm. The pjs can be tailored to the wizard and witches theme so that everyone is part of the magic.
Another great idea is having invitations in the form of a Hogwarts acceptance letter with the little ones’ names on. Much like Harry in the first movie, the excitement is truly real. VIP goody bags and party bags can also be organised to tie into the sleepover theme. Filled with gifts, treats and other magical bits and pieces, choices can be made for each child. Ideas include which Hogwarts house they would be placed in by the sorting hat, or a witch or wizard hat.
Balloons
Even Mr Potter wouldn’t have a party without balloons. We offer a wide range of balloon garlands, arches, and columns to give your party that extra wow factor. Custom made for your special occasion; the sleepover theme can include black balloons with an accent of different sizes in the Hogwarts house colours.
Snacks
Like a feast in the great hall, your Harry Potter themed sleepover party needs the perfect array of snacks, food and treats. Some ideas for party food options can include sweet jars, donut walls, sweet stations, birthday cakes and a selection of finger foods.
Set the scene
To complete your party set up, you need a totally magical music playlist. You could choose to play the Harry Potter soundtrack, or even create your own list of wizardy songs. Tunes like Black Magic from Little Mix always go down well if you want the little ones to have a boogie. To complement your sleepover set up and music, your guests could also arrive in fancy dress. Perhaps capes and ties in the house colours?
